Wander and Explore: Green Mountain Hayden Park Entrance in Kittredge, Colorado

I have always loved hiking, but I am not an avid hiker. However, there is one hike that I know well, and it has become a favorite of mine. Green Mountain Hayden Park Entrance in Kittredge, Colorado, is a low elevation hike with moderate difficulty, which makes it the perfect trail for beginners like me! This particular trail offers stunning views of Mt. Evans to the west and sweeping vistas of the Flatirons and Boulder Valley to the east. Information can be found here.

This is a great place to visit in springtime through fall time for hikers and mountain bikers to enjoy the views of wildlife, plants, and trees! This place has a rich diversity. The trails are easy enough for beginners but also have more difficult options for experienced hikers. There's even an area where you can camp overnight if camping appeals to you! But I think it would be best to enjoy a day trip from Denver or Boulder, CO because there aren't any amenities at this park other than bathrooms (pit toilets). It was really neat hiking up into these mountains, though, and we saw lots of wildflowers along our trail that were blooming early due to unseasonably warm weather.
